These terms cover using cohortnorth.com, writing to us or our authors, our newsletter, and buying from us. They don't affect your legal rights. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use your details.

This website

You're welcome to share and link to our pages. The words, pictures and covers belong to us, our authors or their artists, so please ask before using them elsewhere.

Messages and the newsletter

Please keep messages polite and lawful. A message to an author goes straight to them by email. Our newsletter is free, comes a few times a year, and every email has a link to unsubscribe.

Ebooks

• Prices are in pounds, with no VAT (we are not VAT registered). You pay on Stripe's secure page; we never see your card details.
• We can't sell ebooks to buyers in the European Union. The ebook page says which cards we accept.
• Your ebook is made for you, marked with your email address and order number. Please don't share it.
• You can download it straight away, and we email you the link from orders@cohortnorth.com. If it hasn't arrived within a few minutes, please check your junk or spam folder.
• Until you first download it, you can cancel for a full refund. Once the download starts you can't cancel, as you agreed when you paid.
• If you have any trouble downloading or opening your ebook, please get in touch straight away and we'll put it right.
• One discount code per order. Codes can't be exchanged for money.
• Bought at one of our market stalls? The same terms apply.

Signed printed books

These are sold on our authors' own websites, starting with Leah Cherie Wilkinson's (lcwilkinson.com). We are the seller, and the author's site has the full terms of sale. In short:

• Prices include postage. We post to UK addresses only, usually within 3 working days.
• Not arrived 10 working days after we posted it? Email us and we'll send another copy or refund you.
• Changed your mind? Tell us within 14 days of receiving it and post it back. We refund the book and the postage to you. A dedicated copy can't be returned once the dedication is written.
• Damaged or faulty? Email us within 30 days, with a photo if you can, and we'll replace it or refund you, postage included.

Questions and complaints

Email contact@cohortnorth.com with your order number if you have one. We reply within 3 working days.

Changes and the law

We may update these terms; the version on this page when you buy applies to your order. They are governed by the law of England and Wales, and if you live elsewhere in the UK you can also use your local courts.
